Shenzhen State Micro Technology Co., Ltd., (SMiT), founded in Oct. 2003, is a high-tech company specialized in the DTV industry that owns various proprietary intellectual property rights and core technologies. With the experienced technical team and the international viewed management team, SMiT has the ability from designing large scale integrated circuit chips to developing integrated system solutions.

Under the vigorous supports of the State Commission of Development and Reform, the Ministry of lndustry, and the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and as an active advocator and supporter of the national policy of DVB-CI for digital TV industry as well as the key member of the national committee of China’s Common Interface Standard, SMiT first developed the complete home-made DTV Conditional Access Module (CAM) and obtained the authorization or certification from major CA suppliers including ChinaCrypt, Irdeto , Cryptoworks, Novel-Tongfang, Compunicate, DVN, Sumavision, Viaccess and Conax. SMiT has become the most important native supplier of CA Modules and the leading supplier with great influence in the international CA Modules market. The company aims to speed up the development of our national digital TV manufacture and operation through developing, producing and distributing CA Modules, Added-service Functional Modules and DTV Solutions.

Today, SMiT has become the professional supplier of DVB-T/C/S2 solutions. SMiT’s products cover SD, HD series, support MPEG2/H.264. They all support DVB-CI interface and have been sold to European,Australian and other market. SMiT has established very close cooperation with the domestic leading TV manufacturers such as SKYWORTH, TCL, CHANGHONG, KONKA, HISENSE, PRIMA, SOYEA, AMOI and many famous chip manufacturers home and abroad. Together with these partners, SMiT devotes herself to develop DVB-T iDTV of national standard to meet the demand of both the domestic 40 million Analogue TVs’ upgrade requirements and the booming global DTV market need.

SMiT also endeavors to develop the solutions of Mobile TV and provides full solutions to manufacturers and distributors in the industry. The existing solution can support the head-end modem chips of different standards. It is featured of powerful and flexible functions, which can meet the domestic and overseas market demands of CMMB, DAB and support the expanded functions such as GPS, BLUETOOTH and Wi-Fi.

Company Milestones

In October 2003, Shenzhen State Micro Technology Co., Ltd.(SMiT) was incorporated due to service restructuring of Shenzhen State Microelectronics Co,.Ltd.

In June 2005, a world renowned venture capital company invested in SMiT.

In the seventh China Hi-Tech Fair on November 2005, vice Premier Zeng Peiyan visited the exhibition stand of SMiT and showed great interests in and concerns on the development and production of SMiT’s DVB-CI CA Modules.

In November 2005, SMiT procured Power Digital Techlabs Co.,Ltd. and established a System Technology Department in Beijing.

In April of 2006, SMiT’s CA Modules passed various tests conducted by China Electronic Standardization Institute(CESI), a national certification bodies in China. The CA Modules were in full compliance with the DVB-CI standards recently released by the Ministry of Information industry China. Therefore, SMiT was granted the first batch of certification certificate for DVB-CI products.

In April of 2006, SMiT was accredited ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System Cerritificate issued by UCS.

In June of 2006, SMiT officialy became a member of DVB international organization.

In July of 2007, SMiT was regarded as a Shenzhen High-Tech Company.
